The Association of Zoophiles of Agia Paraskevi is a non-profit association recognized by the Court of First Instance of Athens. It was founded in 1991 by a group of people who loved animals and were particularly sensitive to strays that roamed the streets of our city helplessly, exposed to all kinds of dangers, asking for protection, love and care.
In cooperation with the services of the Municipality and thanks to the invaluable contribution of our volunteers, we aimed from the beginning to reduce the number of strays in our area with sterilizations, adoptions and public awareness. We also aimed at the rescue, protection and care of these animals as well as the immediate treatment and effective resolution of the various problems that arise during the coexistence of stray animals and humans.
