So.Fi.A. is a recognized animal welfare association since July 2014 and operates in the Northern Suburbs of Attica, based in Maroussi.
It operates purely with the contribution of volunteers, headed by a committee consisting of executive members and the aim is to assist in sterilizations of strays and in the provision of veterinary services in emergencies in the Municipality of Maroussi.
So.Fi.A. It has close cooperation with local authorities, other animal welfare groups and ordinary citizens, with the common goal of controlling the population of stray animals in the area as well as informing the citizens of the municipality on various issues concerning stray and dominant animals.
