Our Association was founded in 2008 by a group of animal lovers, who already had extensive experience working for animals. Our goal is to improve in every way the living conditions of stray cats inside and outside Athens. The Board of Directors of the Seven Souls for 2017-18 consists of Eleni Kefalopoulou, Carol Mc Beth, Marina Nikolakopoulou, Eleni Kalliga and Zoey Chia.
But our strength is our volunteers, who tirelessly try to help stray cats. They help with their daily feeding, participate in events, host or find homes for cats and kittens, catch and transport animals to veterinary clinics for sterilization or treatments, inform the public about neutering and its benefits and are always ready to run wherever needed.
What we do
We help stray cats immediately – with food and veterinary care – but also in the long term, with neutering and adoption. Our main goal is neutering to reduce stray cat overpopulation. Every year we neuter hundreds of stray cats in Athens. This significantly reduces the number of cubs born on the street and improves living conditions for adults.
