The Animal Welfare Association of Kymi – Aliveri was founded in August 2016 to fill in a huge Municipality the gap that existed and still exists in the protection and care of stray animals.
It is a non-profit, charitable association, not subsidized by the Greek state or the EU and relies exclusively on the subscriptions of its members, donations, sponsorships and events for the achievement of its goals.
From the first day we took action for the care of strays circulating in our Municipality, their nutrition, their collection for sterilization, vaccination, medical care, especially the injured. We organized a rudimentary small shelter to temporarily cover our needs, where today about 70 animals are cared for at the expense and labor of our members, especially a few heroic volunteers, while another 50 are temporarily hosted in their homes.
Within the short period of our operation, about 100 strays have already been adopted by contractors. We hope for the contribution of all of you so that we can continue our work!
