The cultural association Animal Welfare of Komotini aims to defend and ensure the welfare of animals always in combination with humans and the natural environment.
Its members are people of all ages who have a common denominator, love for animals and nature.
Currently, our organization maintains a shelter that hosts around 400 dogs, while it takes care of the feeding, vaccination and neutering (in cooperation with the Municipality of Komotini) of all stray creatures living in the city of Komotini.
The organization’s income comes only from donations.
From time to time we have been called upon to deal with difficult incidents of abuse and abandonment of animals by irresponsible owners.
Our support every time is the people who share the view that strays have been created primarily by the irresponsibility of man.
