The Animal Welfare Association of Trikala, “Argos” is a non-profit association that voluntarily manages the municipal refuge of Trikala.
As an association we care for animals not only of our city, but also of various areas of our prefecture, when volunteers are available to undertake an incident that will occur. Unfortunately, the number of incidents, in relation to the human resources of the club, outweighs and so we need the help of all of you.
Animals are fed daily inside and outside the shelter and various emergencies are treated.
For all our animals, we strive to find responsible people and suitable homes for adoption. For each adoption, a specific procedure is followed.
Animals that cannot be adopted due to age, disability or other reason stay in the shelter for the rest of their lives.
The need for financial support for the incidents we undertake, but also for the food of the animals of the shelter is huge, as well as the need for voluntary work in the shelter, since our association consists only of volunteers.
