The Animal Welfare Club of Xanthi was created in May 2012 by animal loving volunteers, in an effort to meet the growing needs of stray animals, mainly dogs. This effort began with an appetite for care, care, housing and treatment of these animals.
The main activities of the newly established group are:
- promoting stray animal adoptions
- Neutering stray animals as well as their rehabilitations
- vaccination of stray animals
- advertising campaigns aimed at informing and promoting animal welfare
- the creation of resources in order to realize all its objectives
