Press release of the newly founded club.
We inform the citizens of Lefkada that by virtue of the no. 15/2015 order of the Peace Court of Lefkada, which was issued following the application dated 27-4-2015 before the Peace Court of Lefkada (report no. 17/7-5-2015), recognized as legal the establishment of the association under the name “CULTURAL AND ANIMAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF LEFKADA ANIMAL CARE LEFKAS”, which was established by the Statute of 26-4-2015 consisting of 30 articles.
The seat of the Association is in the city of Lefkada, 6 Ventura Street.
The aims of the Association are, among others, the protection of stray and non-stray animals, the encouragement of their ownership, the development of activities and organization of animal welfare programs in schools, the promotion and dissemination of the values of animal welfare.
According to the Articles of Association, every friend and owner of an animal can be a member of the Association and the regular annual subscription is ten euros (10,00 €).
The governing bodies of the Association are the Board of Directors, which consists of seven (7) members, who are elected for a two-year term, and the General Assembly convened every two years for the election of the Board of Directors and the other bodies of the Association.
The activity of the Association so far, as well as the actions planned to be implemented, will soon be known through the website of the Association, which is under construction.
