The “Association for the Care and Protection of Stray Animals Stray.gr” was founded in 2003 with Reg. No. 24685 and is a non-profit association, aiming to offer assistance to stray animals in Greece.
The group consists of 30 active members and about 20 occasional volunteers. The members and volunteers of the Stray.gr, aged 17 to 50, students and employees, have as a common denominator their love and interest for stray animals.
Since its establishment, Stray has undertaken and helped more than 3,000 stray animals, mainly in the Attica region, and sometimes in other parts of Greece.
The Stray.gr does not receive any kind of government subsidy or other assistance from the State and is maintained solely by subscriptions and donations from members, friends and the few businesses that occasionally offer some money or other items.
